About Us
For three generations, our family has lovingly tended to this land, nurturing a legacy of farming. With deep-rooted ties to the soil, we take immense pride in continuing a tradition that spans decades. Our family consists of three children, including our son Harry, whose enthusiasm knows no bounds. Watch him joyfully assist in dog walks and even take on the role of delivering BBQ packs, all aboard his mini tractor.

We all love a BBQ and our packs provide the perfect selection of family favorites for everyone to enjoy. Sausages are locally sourced from a friend of ours, Weatherhead Butchers of Pateley Bridge. All our meat packs come with fresh white bread rolls and a selection of sauces. Choose from:

Hire a hot tub and make your stay even more special.
Sit back and enjoy the view and gaze at the stars on an evening from your very own hot tub located right outside your accommodation.
Hot tubs need to be booked when you book your accommodation so we can make sure the hot tub is freshly filled and warming ready for your arrival.

Freedom From Wi-Fi
Whilst all of the big mobile providers have service at Windmill Retreats, the rural and peaceful nature of the site doesn't really suit the installation of site-wide WiFi. And sometimes its nice to disconnect a little more....

Harrogate
Harrogate is our nearest town, just to the east of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Its heritage as a fashionable spa resort continues in the Montpellier Quarter with the Royal Pump Room Museum, documenting the importance of local mineral springs. Nearby is the restored, Moorish-style Turkish Baths & Health Spa. To the west, leafy Valley Gardens features the art deco Sun Pavilion.
Knaresborough
The most photographed viaduct in Yorkshire! Knaresborough is a market and spa town and civil parish on the River Nidd in North Yorkshire, England. It is three miles east of Harrogate. Famous for it's beautiful river setting, traditional high street, and the annual bed race.
Ripon
Ripon is a cathedral city in North Yorkshire, England. The city is located at the confluence of two tributaries of the River Ure, the Laver and Skell, and offers great walks, a thriving shopping area and the outstanding cathedral.
Otley
Wander around the quaint cobbled streets. Browse the independent shops: antiques, unique gifts, art, jewellery and lots more. Wash down the award-winning pork pies with real ale in one of the many historic pubs. Picnic by the riverside. Hike to the top of The Chevin for a breathtaking view across the Wharfedale valley. Bring your bike and cycle in the tracks of the Tour de Yorkshire.
Leeds
On the south bank of the River Aire, the Royal Armouries houses the national collection of arms and artillery. Across the river, the redeveloped industrial area around Call Lane is famed for bars and live music venues under converted railway arches. Leeds Kirkgate Market features hundreds of indoor and outdoor stalls.

Pateley Bridge
Pateley Bridge (known locally as Pateley) is a market town in Nidderdale in the county and district of North Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it lies on the River Nidd. It is in the Yorkshire Dales and just outside the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The town has the oldest sweet shop in the world. Established in 1827, it is housed in one of the earliest buildings in Pateley Bridge, dating from 1661. Pateley Bridge is also the home of the Nidderdale Museum.
